aalaw-a call

The past 25 years have been  most critical part  of our history of  standing  against  the injustice. For centuries  together  we have been suffering  through  the  illegal occupations. Our defeat has always  been  due to null ideological  bases. But  from last 25 years we have strongly  build our ideology. our ideology  either  stands with that of idea of pakistan or of a free state.
Due to the insulation  of these powerful  thoughts  our young brothers presented  there  bare chest against  the might, which wrote   the history  of kashmir with blood. if one goes through the  chapters of these twenty  five years  a numerous  stories of  personal courage  and personal  sacrifices can be seen.
With this unbeating will of our youth we present  ourselves  as a major conflict  zone on the map of world where two powerful  countries  clash on there egos.
As we enter into the era of a new warfare  with our fourth  generation  into the war. our war chest has been dented to a large  extent.  as soon as the gun was made to dissappear  the new medium  of dissent and resistance  emerged in the shape of "stones"  which countered  the  serious  dent caused  by the occupational forces. the youth  striked with the utmost  counter attacks on the  anti movement  policies  which actually  had been carried  by a local cunning   poltician (mufti syed) in a bid to ease the occupational suffering from 2002 onwards. but the political  ambitions of these occupational  agents failed  miserably with the change of medium from guns to stones   to keep the momentum  of  cause  going and moreover  the win of a foolish  man (omar Abdullah) who actually  helped   to remind  us that this  is a conflict drawn on a bloody past by making  us go more suffering  and misery. 2010 was strategic  year of our  movement  which tested our endurance  of pain and resistance and made us witness  the fail of our hollow  leadership.
As we enter into 2015 the situation  on ground has taken  a ugly turn with the notorious  poltician   back in the scene with his sharp eye on our pious  movement. Our movement  is already  in a series mess. The leadership of our movement   has miserable  failed to  sustain  movement. They have been trying  to  geelanize or mirwaznize the movement  at the same time our biggest  ideological  asset jammat e islami has dropped a bombshell on us. In such time our movement  is calling  us,  calling  upon all of us to join together  to take  the movement  further. there is a serious  threat to our movement  this is a time to  come up with a ideological  platform  where we can evaluate  and implement  our serious  thoughts  to save and carry on our movement. we are in a desperate  need of well developed  brains to counter  the threats to our beloved movement. the biggest threat has come in the name of new regional parties. dont let the spirit  die dont let them us to  destroy  our movement  by our own hands. it is a time for counter  attack with a concrete  ideological  bastions.
Please  gather some serious intellectual  asset of this time to have a serious counter attack.  come together  join hands save this movement . share  this all around..

kashmir floods and Downtown

Between 6 and 7 sept 2014 the srinagar city turned
into swamp as jhelum came roaring towards Srinagar
breaching all the barricades to make a entry into the
heart of city. The sudden elevation of jhelum's
waterlevel caused a intense soaring of water leaving
almost 80% of srinagar city submerged.

The huge houses, the long roads, the short lanes, the
big parks, the market every thing got splashed into
water presenting a scary look with whole of area left
on the mercy of brown water. The jhelum came
thrashing making its way to the civil lines areas in left
and almost touching the boundaries of immune
system (downtown) of sringar city on the right side.
The same boundaries which are prone to be ceased
with the network of huge barbed wires by the Govt
forces when they impose curfew. But Allah has its own
plans while the 80% Srinagar submerged, the immune
system (downtown) remained safe.

As waterlevel started to increase with a horrifying
speed the residents were left with one hour stint to
save there belongings due to which many residents
got stranded in there houses while in some cases
people willingly stayed back to wait for the water to
subside. The people who stayed back willingly or
unwillingly witnessed the horifying view of water
chasing them to 15-20 feets in some areas. The next
morning situation turned ugly as the administration
was nowhere to be seen, the communication lines
stoped working.

The srinagar city metamorphosed into a isoliated
marooned island. At the hour of such unfortunate
devastation and choas the immune system
(downtown) of Srinagar started mobilising. The youth
on a large scale equipped with courage only came into
action with the help of local boatmen the youth took
the drive into the den ofdeath.

The courage has always been a best equipment of the
youth in downtown the same courage took the
kashmir into headlines in nineties. The follow up of the
conflict injected more courage in them though the
thusand of youth went though the intense pain and
torture. With more pain comes the more courage.

Every tear was filled with the smile when the glorious
faces came to them for rescue. Every hope that was
shattered by the authorities was filled with joy when
the smiling faces came shivering with cold to save
them. These faces which came to rescue were no
angels they were human who have learnt throughout
there life to share pain and agony. The same faces
which are subjected to intense tourture and abuses.

The people who had begged and cried to the
admiistration to save them were left there to die. Few
years back a devastating flood hit the himachal
pardesh state of India where all most 6000 people
died even though the 45 choppers were into service to
save people. In comparaism of that in kashmir the
things turned to be different in case of casualities as
less number of casualities were reported thanks to
youth.

In a new study it was revealed that 96% of stranded
population was rescued by youth. Maybe people never
agreed that the police or army are made to counter
the populer sentiment of Freedom. The proof is infront
of our eyes the same forces who come in thousands to
supress the sentiment were missing from everywhere.
Unfortunately the stranded people had kept there faith
on the wrong side. It is time forthe people to
acknowledge and glorify the role of youth. And come
forward to represent the sentiment abandoning the
idea that the administration is for people.

With the huge disaster came the huge responsiblity to
deliver for the youth. The dark nights were illuminated
with the wales of trapped people. The call of the
courage enabled the youth to surpass the every hurdle
to reach out to the trapped people giving brith to the
innovations. Thousands of young boys amidst choas
coordinated the perfect resue mission with minimum
resources.

With lakhs of people who were rescued to the safer
places were rehabiliated and provided every basic
neccesity to live. The whole of downtown was turned
into a relief camp. People kept open there houses and
hearts for the effected people. The schools, masjids,
homes were turned into relief camps on another hand
rest of population open heartly presented there every
resources to enable effected people to eat and stay
with comfort.

this is downtown, this is resistance. ..

The sound of bullets may not worry me the cries and wales of women do not scare me anymore as im
already introduced to these scenes. Yes this is downtown this is the resistance, this is the courage, this is the occupation, this is the blood, yes this is downtown. Once more the resistance
capital of jammu and kashmir is boiling in this spring as a young man from nawakadal area of Sringar fell to the badluck of being present in the
streets of downtown on the day of high drama of illegitimate occupation by the indian authorities. The drama was concluded with a murder of one
more innocent soul of kashmir. The boycott of this drama and  the resistance of kashmir to the drama of banana
republic frustrated them to such a level, where they only answered through the traditional barrel of guns. To the new generation of kashmir this merciless murders of their fellow brothers is notnew in any way. The scars of 2008 and 2010 are fresh. The blood on the streets of the kashmir is
still red. The present scenario of down town does not shock any inhabitant here. The murders, the bullets, the cries, the helplessness, the curfew, the abuses, they all are the part of resistance in downtown. I almost have witnessed every killings in downtown since 2006 when the first youth was killed in habakadal area of downtown by a teargas shell who later was laid to rest in eidgah  graveyard. It is said that he was the only son of his parents among 4 siblings as far as I remember as a stonepelter of Downtown this was the first kind of death which
occured during stone pelting. The post 2006 was never peaceful for downtown as far as stonepelting was concerned be in 2007 when there
was intense stone pelting for almost 4 days in
which scores of boys got brutally injured or the
start of 2008 when land revocation issue become
the flaming point of powerful anti india protests in
whole of kashmir. The epicentre of the stone
pelting and protests always remained the down
town where also the first death was reported from
the nowahtta area. The slain protestor was
peacefully protesting in nowhatta chowk when he
was fired upon by the crpf killing him on the spot.
The whole of downtown in 2008 was painted red
with blood like other parts of kashmir. There were
huge anti india rallies in eidgah area of downtown
and the whole of kashmir with downtown fought to
the end through hardships and misieries. With the
end of year almost 60 young persons had lost their precious lives. With
the start of 2009 the things had relatively started
getting better untill in the mid spring two helpless
and innocent girls were first raped and then
murdered in a stream in the town of shopian the
crime that later turned to be commited by indian
forces as per the locals. The painful news when
reached to the downtown sent shivers to the
youth. I remember I was at nawakadal when I
heard the news there was a vissible anger and the
grave sadness on the faces of the youth. The next
morning instigated a powerful resistance and anti
india protests all over kashmir with downtown the
govt forces cracked on the protesters with intense
brutality leading to the more injuries and killings.
There was sense of mourn in air all over downtown
I visited almost every hub of stone pelting centres
in down town like nowhatta and maisuma there
were angry youth and kids with stones fighting like
warriors, they had no sense of fear they were
fearless young warriors venting there anger
through the force they were using for the sharp
stones to target the symbol of indian occupation be
there men or there vichles all they wanted was to
target them to make maximum damage. By the end
of 2009 almost 9 boys had been killed by the bullets
of indian forces and injuring more then 1000. The
process of protests and stone pelting never stoped
then after there were regular protests and stone
pelting in 2010. The 2010 marked the deadlist year
for the stone Pelters. As almost 120 young boys with fell to the
bullets of indian forces. Not every one among 120
were killed in stone pelting, the majority of them
were killed in peaceful protests. From 8 years old
samer rah who was beaten to death by the crpf to
the 22 years old girl fancy who was hit by the
bullet at her home almost every person was forced
to brutality and tryanny. The irony of all this
brutality on helpless people was the chief minister
of kashmir who stuck to his seat despite the open
massacare and bloodshed of people in kashmir whom
he unfortunately claimed to be the head
representative he still remains to be the cm of
kashmir and that is not shocking to anyone in
kashmir. Downtown has rich history of the resistance to the
occupation. The stone pelting also has history in
downtown. The tradition of the downtown has
always been to respond to the calls of every anti
indian party for the strikes, election boycotts, and
other calls. The courageous people of down town
have always been on the forefront of the fight for
the liberation despite the fact that most of
families in downtown are from lower middle class.
Every family in downtown has story of sacrifices.
Some families gave there young sons, some gave
blood, some gave everything, Some even there both lives and property but one
thing that makes down town the capital of
resistance is that there is no regret in downtown
even after so much miseries and sacrifices people
in downtown are still presenting the precious
sacrifices for the cause. Slaute to the courage of
the people of downtown. yesterday's death is one more precious life to the
cause of kashmir from the downtown of kashmir.
RIP owais bhai may you get the greatest place in
jannah ammen.

Tales of Kashmir......

Where suddenly the conventional thought for the collective masses becomes the exigency of liberation after every death of a young bud whose soul vamoose's with a vow to the nation for a windup to a enforced nexus of land....
Where the forces raid into domiciles in the hours of darkness to impound the enraged boys and earmark them for the deals of rejoice.....
Where the occupation imports cutting-edge expertise to subdue the eminent aspirations from a proficient occupiers...

BECOMING A STONE PELTER...

I am from downtown srinagar born in 1991. I was admitted to one of the best school of valley. As a child I had dream to became engineer. Whenever somebody used to ask me about my aim I would proudly say engineer. As I started to grow up I started to became familar with many words which everyone used to talk about that among them few were "azadi" (freedom), "hartal" (shutdown) but I was unable to understand the meaning of these words. I loved the word hartal as it was holiday, so I always wished for hartal. As I grew up I came to know about mujahids. I used to listen stories of mujahids. I would oftenly ask my elders to tell me about mujahids. They told me stories of many mujahids like Issac, Ishfaq, Jan Malik which I liked to share with my friends.
Even I was named after a shaheed mujahid (martyr fighter) who was killed before few weeks I was born. Then came 2007. Once I had to visit Nowahatta. It was month of Muharram. There was heavy stone pelting going on. I found it very intresting. I saw youth pelting stones and shouting freedom slogans. Initially I was afraid to go in front and pelt stones on Police and CRPF.
I used to think they are some angels fighting on the front. Days passed. Now I too had gathered guts to pelt stones on the frontline. It was now 2008 I was busy with my exams. I heard about Amarnath Land Row. Things started changing very fast I had never seen kind of hartals (shutdowns) before. I had never seen kind of stone pelting before. It was totally new expirience to me.
Now tear gas shell wasnt shot anymore, now bullets were fired directly. I saw many boys hit by a bullet and dying on spot. I was disturbed by this. I asked my grandfather once why they directly shoot on us. His answer was "cze chuk mangaan azadi" (u are asking for freedom). This answer changed my mind. I started realizing neither we are part of India nor India considers us their part.
Now I started reading history about our freedom struggle. I came to know about many things about the Kashmir struggle. Now I started reading newspaper, magazines very keenly. I started observing everything about the poltical system. I wept when I read about Gawkadal, Zukura, Hawal, Bijbihara, Sopore, Kupwara massacares. I too wanted to became mujahid.
i once joked with my mother that i will become mujahid, her answer was painfull, first give me poision then you will become mujahid.
Came 2009 I again started to remain busy with my studies but whenever there was stone pelting in Nowahatta I used go there and pelt stones. stone pelting for me now, has become a reactionto the attrocities and d illegal occupationof india. i do it for a cause.
I was once caught by police and was put in custody I was also beaten but that also couldn't break me. When I was released I again started pelting stones. A policemen in custody told me why you pelt stones, do you think you will get freedom by pelting stones. If it is the case I am also ready to pelt stones, he said.
but still it is the only thing which makes me feel that gun or bullet cannot supress my thoughts
my sentiments and to live in occupied i want to be free.....
I am happy when I pelt stones because I want to take revenge for every innocent killing. I know my stone wont harm them but remember it is not stone it is my feelings. I pelt stones because we are oppressed.

It was june 2009 shopian rape and  case occured. it was unbearable to hear rape and murder case of a girl and her sister in law. Tears rolled from my eyes when i read story of asiya in newspaper. once again hartals, stonepelting emerged with more boys felling to bullets to a response for protesting for justice  from brutual indian militiary.
I watched a press confrence of omar abdullah on news channel promising to bring culprits in front of people and punish them in 24 hors. Honestly i was happy with his promise i saw a hope in him in bringing justice to the duo.
But  nothing happened instead of justice their relatives were beaten. This made me more agressive i wanted to take revenge, i wanted to punish murderers. More ever i considered cm for all this because his behivour made me much agressive much angry against india and their brutuallity here.
After one month of continous hartals(strikes) life was back to track. Again we started to remain busy with our  studies.
But i always used to think why didnt the duo got justice i once had seen news of a  14 year old girl from delhi who was killed by unknown person in her bedroom. But Police wasnt able to solve the case. It was then handed over  to CBI who arrested the culprits in few weeks.
But in case of kashmiri CBI solved the case differntly they didnt arrested the culprits but made a funny story of the victims that they died due to drowning in stream whose depth was hardly upto knees. This clearly showed policy of india in kashmir.
But whom could i ask these questions why didnt they get justice? why they shoot us if we protest for seeking justice? these questions always were in my mind. By pelting stones i dint got answer but i was  happy i felt i am taking revenge by pelting stones  but wat else i could do who was their to listen me. I felt stasfication by pelting stones by pelting stones i wanted to say them give us justice leave our kashmir let us leave in peace let us live in place where no mother has fear that her son may return dead. these are not stones these are my feelings.
Came 2010 it was  january once i saw wamiq farooq  Wamiq was neigbour of one of my relatives residing at rainawari area of srinagar.  wamiq was very good boy he used to offer my times prayers. He used to call me baya(brother).
After few weeks on one friday evening i heard that a boy has been martyred after hitting by tear gas shell but i didnt know unfortunately  it was wamiq the same guy whom i had seen before a day. when i woke up next morning i saw a picture of boy whose identity was yet to be revealed in newspaper. After few minutes i got call from my cousin that wamiq has been martyred. for few minutes i was totally freezed i wasnt able to speak. a  boy hardly 13 was no more. You can understand how it feels when you hear death of person whom you know.
Wamiq was like my lilttle brother i had never thought a innocent young boy will fell prey to their brutuallity. Once again hartals(strikes), and stonepelting emerged with more boys getting injuried and martyred. Indian occipatinal forces were responding with more brutuallity i agree with thier brutiuality because they are occupatinal forces their cruelity and brutuality is not a surprise to us but i was surprised by the role of jammu and kashmir police our local police they are playing absurd role. One fails to understand  the cause of their cruelity and brutulity, Is it they want to show more loyality to india or they are killing their brothers  for money. what ever the reason is but the way they behave with their own countrymen is painful. Maybe they have became blind because of power goverment has given to them.
Wamiq's death gave brith to a powerfull revolution. The revolution which shaked the existance of indian rule in kashmir.  Now india started to show their milittary power to unarmed civillians. The way they deal with protests is answer to those people who call india integral part of kashmir.
India has  started to engage its every front to curb this revolution from politically to techinically even media is being used to curb this revolution.
Streets of kashmir have become red with the blood of innocent people. Jehlem has become red with blood of innocent people.
I know one day may be i will also fell to their bullets even i am mentally prepared for that because i have attained extreme limit of stone pelting. But remember my death will give brith to hundreds of kale kharab (hotheads). As i became kale kharab (hothead) after death of innocent boys  from last three years.  65 death have alredy given brith to hundreds of kale kharab (hot head) who are ready to fight till their last breath. These kale kharab (hothead) are present at every corner of kashmir. What ever will the future of present intifada but the struggle to free kashmir will continue even if takes 100 more years. Next generation will produce more dangerous kale kharab to free kashmir. (feedback at erfanbhatt@gmail.com blogger is a Managment student)
